ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24 hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise, support and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. Children call ChildLine about a wide range of problems, but the most common problems are abuse (both sexual and physical), bullying, serious family tensions, worries about friends' welfare and teenage pregnancy. Children and young people can call ChildLine about anything – no problem is too big or too small. ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC

Story

Someone came up with the idea of covering the distance between all of the bases in the UK ... So the natural thought was to jump on a bike!

We have 2019km to cover in the next 25 days which will be challenging!

It will be done in the base, at the gym or at home - Wherever our staff and volunteers have access to an exercise bike.

We will keep a log of all of our miles and keep you all updated along the way :)

The reason we are doing this is to ensure that all young people have a place to turn to when they need support. Since our Aberdeen base opened in 2004, we have delivered over 150,000 counselling sessions to children and young people both locally and nationally. However, we are only able to answer 2 in every 3 contacts, so many young people go without the vital support they need.

One call can be all it takes to change a young person's life.

By donating £4, you can help us to start that change by enabling us to take an extra call from a young person.

We want to raise £400 to help us answer an additional 100 calls.

Thank you for your support!
