While some young people have all the support they need to navigate life, others have little or no support – or worse, people around them who influence them negatively or threaten or cause them actual harm.   

Whilst statutory services do their best, their intervention often comes too late once a young person has already experienced harm or their mental health has deteriorated badly.  

The Eikon Charity is there for children early on, preventing a concern from becoming a crisis, and providing practical and effective support – in schools, in communities and supporting them online and through welfare calls where face to face isn't possible.  The charity is also a vital lifeline for children who often have to wait for months for support from local children's mental health teams.

Whether I can actually run 26.2 miles and climb 2,000 feet in the process I don't know.  But no matter how hard it is, or what I break in the process!  It is nothing compared to what some children are going through.  They need our support, your support.  Please give generously so they can access the help they need.
