At an altitude of over 2600 metres we, a team of volunteers and staff from Renacer will be participating in the Bogotá Half Marathon to raise money for the children - former victims of sexual exploitation.

Fundacion Renacer (which in English means Foundation Rebirth) is a non-governmental organization based in Colombia working with such victims. Since September 2003 I, Adrian Beckett have been working as a volunteer with Renacer, and gained an insight into the destructive world in which these children live. Horrified by the treatment of these children in Colombia and inspired by the kindness and dedication of my colleagues, I decided to set my self a physical feat, in order to spread the word and promote action. Without the work of Renacer and similar organizations around the world, so many more children would continue to be physically, sexually, and emotionally abused.
