Along with the Children’s Challenge and its sister community events the Gold Challenge and 21 mile walk along the Chiltern Ridgeway, we need to raise £100,000 to secure 50% funding of our early year's service, and give us a secure base on which to build our new vision. That’s a huge challenge in itself, but luckily everyone has the ability to lend a hand! You can undertake your own 2012 Olympic themed challenge through the Gold Challenge see http://www.challengetime.org/index.php?q=node/2
The children’s challenges are all themed by or inspired by the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. Every challenge will stretch each child’s ability; some include taking their first ever independent steps. This is truly their ‘Mount Everest’ moment.
For children at PACE simple every day activities are a real challenge. In contrast, most of us are able to do so much. It is difficult to imagine having to spend months, let alone years, learning how to brush our hair, take a drink or even reach out to touch a friend. A belief in each child’s potential to learn underpins PACE’s “education for life”.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now and help us reach our £100k target.
