Across the UK bright children and young adults are not meeting their full potential as they struggle to read and spell. Through special clinics, we investigate the causes of a range of learning difficulties including dyslexia and develop effective treatments to help alleviate reading problems.

CHECK OUT POST RACE PHOTOS ON THE LEFT ...

On 31 Jan 2010 I traipsed 8miles over an SAS type assault course dressed as a Gladiator to help fund research into Dyslexia which impacts not only 100,000s Britons, but also a bit closer to home in the form of a member of my family.  Please read the below which will hopefully encourage you to sponsor me:

THIS IS SPONSORSHIP WITH A DIFFERENCE:
1)      Donations go to research and clinic time not marketing, charity muggers or my participation (I covered the c£250 entry / travel / accommodation costs).

2)      This is not just funding any research and it’s even better than M&S research.....it’s world leading research no less , for more read here http://www.dyslexic.org.uk/aboutus.htm .

3)      In aide of my dyslexic family members favourite movie I dressed as a gladiator with the outfit in such a state at the end it had to b laid to rest in a recycle bin

4)      The event is plain gruesome.  Last year it snowed and of the 6,000 starters only 55% finished and 10% were treated for hypothermia.  To see a video of my previous effort click on the my video link to the left or Google  “tough guy 2009 assault course sub zero”.

5)      I will supply photographic evidence and a post race email.

6)      Your donations go to research and clinics – worth repeating.   £1,250 runs the free clinic for a week.

Justgiving is ready to take your donations – don’t forget to fill in the gift aid bit.  Every pound counts.

Much appreciated.
