Chiltern Branch's Billy's vet treatment

Billy's vet treatment · 28 May 2021
Meet Billy, he came into our care here at Chiltern Cats Protection when his owner could no longer care for him due to ill health. We took him to the vets for a health check and to have him neutered, when it was discovered that he had a broken jaw! It is believed that it was probably from a road traffic accident, as Billy was unneutered this gave him a tendency to go off for a few days at a time, making this quite likely on one of his adventures. A wire was fitted to his jaw, however when it was not healing as expected he was referred to a specialist vet. Since then, he has had some teeth removed and a second wire fitted. He still has a journey ahead of him, with another appointment booked for more teeth to be extracted and the wire to be removed.
Billy is a shy cat, and our fosterer is working hard to try and give him more confidence whilst in our care as he recovers.
Billy’s total treatment cost is around £2,000! We haven’t been able to do our usual fundraising for a year now, so are asking if you can help. We are so grateful for any donations towards Billy’s care.
Anything raised above the amount needed to care for Billy will go towards the care of other cats in Chiltern Cats Protection’s care.
