Hello! My name is Rebecca and last year my sister gave birth
to my baby niece.

She arrived incredibly early at 27 weeks and therefore
needed to stay in hospital for round the clock care. My sister and her husband needed to stay somewhere close by to provide their daughter with the necessary love and comfort (and feeding!) while the nurses and doctors focused on the treatment side.

Luckily the Ronald McDonald House Charities were there to
help. They are an amazing organisation that provides accommodation for parents whose child is receiving treatment in specialist hospitals. Evelina House in Lambeth provided ten weeks accommodation for my sister and brother-in-law, but many other families are there for much, much longer. The enormous generosity of the RMHC ensures that parents have a home for as long as their child is receiving care.

We are staging a cabaret on the 2nd February in order to
raise as much money and awareness as we can to this amazing charity, and make sure more parents can be close to their children when they most need them.
