I have never done anything on this scale  before, but as a parent of two young children, I am increasingly aware that a healthy start in life is not just about food and exercise - it's about providing them with an environment in which they can talk about their anxieties and fears as much as their dreams and aspirations. This may or may not be through their family network and so the importance of having that infrastructure in place in as many schools around the country is paramount.

Place2Be is the UK's leading children's mental health charity providing in-school support and expert training to improve the emotional wellbeing of pupils, families, teachers and staff. They work with children aged four to 14.

If our team is successful in raising £67,500 - we will raise enough to provide Place2Be support in five London schools for two years - reaching 2,430 children. That's providing a space for them to access support from a trained counsellor to unravel and understand their feelings, unburden their problems, build their emotional resilience and develop coping mechanisms for the future.

I am also looking forward to the physical challenge and just hope that my dodgy knee behaves!
