Story

We have decided to significantly increase our running efforts this year and we are running the London Marathon on April 13 in memory of James Elson and in support of Maggie's Centres.

James's tenacity, strength and determination whilst facing cancer is a constant reference point.  We certainly hope our efforts would make him proud, though he would be confused why you would want to travel any distant by foot when it could be done in a highly spec'd out, temperamental race car (you need to remember this is the man who thought an Atom was a suitable vehicle to do the grocery run with!).

Maggie's offers free, comprehensive support for anyone affected by cancer.  They complement NHS treatment with a network of independent cancer caring centres, which are light, airy and inspiring (and anyone who has had to spend lengthy times in hospitals will understand how easy it is to feel institutionalised).  People with cancer need places like these.

Any donation, however small, would be greatly appreciated by myself, Rachel and Maggie's.  Monies raised will go towards Maggie's second London centre at St Bartholomew's in the City.

Thank you in advance for your support.
