Rushcliffe is a beautiful park and this challenge will be my first 10k run at this park. Running in the Rushcliffe 10k this year will be an emotional and personal experience for me.

I want to raise money for Cerebral Palsy Sport because of a very special little boy. He has Cerebral Palsy and additional complex needs, but this has never stopped him from participating in his favourite sports, especially swimming and football.

He enjoys playing sport. He participates in the following sports:

  • Swimming
  • Frame football (walking frame)
  • Cycling (therapy tricycle)
  • Ice skating (wheelchair)

Cerebral Palsy Sport has helped him reach his sporting potential. He has become healthier, stronger, and he has fun being active. He plays, participates and enjoys sport.

March is important and exciting for people with Cerebral Palsy because it is Cerebral Palsy awareness month. By taking on the Rushcliffe 10k, I am hoping to raise awareness of Cerebral Palsy and Cerebral Palsy Sport. This is a good opportunity for me to educate, volunteer, and get to know others with Cerebral Palsy.

People with Cerebral Palsy can achieve the achievements able bodied people can achieve. Cerebral Palsy Sport helps people with Cerebral Palsy become healthier and stronger, and have fun being active.
