CMV Action is a UK organisation of parents and volunteers, who have come together to support families, to raise public awareness of congenital CMV, and campaign for better prevention measures within our health service. We offer advice, support and friendship to anyone affected by congenital CMV, advocating for families and working with a number of medical professionals who have an interest in this field.

Story

In 2015 our lives were suddenly and tragically affected when our unborn child was diagnosed with CMV at 20 weeks. We had never heard about this virus nor had anyone around us, yet it affects so many children and their families every year. We lost our little girl Aila and since we have tried our very best to raise awareness and funds for CMV action. My husband completed the Ironman in 2017 and 2019. Now it's my turn! So I have chosen to compete in the Manchester Marathon 2022. Your support means so much. Please if you can, donate!
