Birmingham Half Marathon 2010 · 24 October 2010 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 24th October I will be running the Birmingham Half Marathon in order to raise money for Engineers for Overseas Development (www.efod.org.uk).
While considering whether to sponsor me please bare in mind that:
a) I don't like running
b) I have short little legs
c) It's going to hurt
d) It's for a great cause
I am assuming that most people who read this will know that I have been a member of EFOD west midlands for almost two years now.
EFOD are a group of young engineers in the west midlands. We have been supporting a community of widows in the village of Koutulai in Uganda for almost two years. Last year we raised funds to build a grinding mill and to provide a milling machine for the community. This year the project aims to improve health and hygiene for the same community by installing latrines and a safe water supply.
Every penny raised from my running will go directly to funding both this project and next years project with the same community.
The projects are delivered in partnership with the SaltPeter Trust (http://www.saltpetertrust.co.uk)
I am hoping by now you are feeling compelled to help me reach my target. Please give as much as you are able, all your help is hugly appreciated.
Cheers!
