Story
My amazing Grandad Garth Muton, was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. And heartbreakingly passed away with his family around him in the morning of 9thFeburary 2014.
Cancer of the pancreas is very difficult to treat. It rarely causes any symptoms in the early stages, so it's often not detected until the cancer is fairly advanced. If the tumour is large, treating the cancer will be more difficult.
This is what happened to our fantastically brave grandad/dad and friend, who was only 71 years of age. He was loved more than words can explain, and was always supportive... he loved to dance, make honey with his bumble bees, always supported his daughters and grandchildren, be it boy problems, life problems or doing their essays for them :)
Missing him doesn't get any easier, especially around Christmas time, as this was a huge celebration for our family, and grandad always was always the life of the party.
The family have taken part in 2 marathons/relays the last two years and raised over £6000 for cancer research and Pancreatic Cancer Uk.
So i've decided to carry the torch...
THIS YEAR I'M BACK AND HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED INTO THE BALLOT FOR THE LONDON MARATHON - APRIL 2017
Please support me, dig deep and raise money for this amazing cause ... I are doing this for him and many others that have been or are affected by this awful disease
