Story
Hello, thank you you taking the time to visit our JustGiving Page.
We have decided to set up a personal charity walk to ensure that all donations raised will be sent directly to help the children that are in need.
We have chosen to complete a 2 hours and 30 minute walk starting from Upminster train station and finishing off at King George's Hospital. We have chosen this personal destination due to having a close family member having scoliosis and having undergone a serious surgery at this hospital as this could relate back to some current Strongbones children. This is a total of just over 7 miles each way as completing the journey there and back will take a total of around 5 hours to do 14 miles.
Strongbones Children's Charitable Trust is based in Romford as they help families and disabled children with complex needs alongside: scoliosis, spina bifida, brittle bones disease or any other bone conditions. They have been registered for over 20 years now as they:
- provide online support
- Provide manual wheelchairs
- Host a yearly summer party for 400-500 people
- Provide smart home technology
- Provide educational resource packs and equipment
We personally believe that this is the right charity for us as donating to Strongbones that is local to us, will benefit from making a stronger impact from the local community coming together.
With being local sixth form attendees , my group appreciates all of the support and donations we can get to benefit for the charity and their children. Thank you for taking your time to read our JustGiving page.
Thank you for any donation you may have given us. Every little helps.
King regards,
Chloe & Gabby
