Virgin London Marathon 2014 · 13 April 2014 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

I am running the London Marathon in April to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Pancreatic cancer is the 5th most common cause of cancer deaths in the UK and 23 people are diagnosed every single day but it only recieces 1% of cancer research budgets. Only 4% of patients survive for five years or more. Pancreatic Cancer UK's campaign for Hope aims to double this over the next 5 years and improve the NHS experience of pancreatic cancer patients from being one of the worst to one of the best.

Pancreatic cancer has affected my family and a good friends family. Which is why I have decided to run 26.2 miles (WAHHH) to try and raise awareness and raise money for this extremely worthy cause ...which I can only do with your help...

UPDATE: I finished the marathon in 4 hours and 21 minutes and I am so grateful for the incredible support throughout my training and on the day. Thank you for your generous donations!!
