I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 12 October to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I'll be running in memory of my brilliant friend Cara who sadly passed away from cancer last year at the age of 42.

I've previously said that I could never run this distance (10k has always been my limit) but doing this for Cara and for a cause that really matters will be all the motivation I need to get me to the finish line.
