We help children with complex disabilities to have the best opportunities in life

Story

I will be running the Brighton Marathon 2022 for Chailey Heritage Foundation. Chailey is an amazing independent school supporting not only children and young people with complex disabilities but also providing invaluable levels of support for the families of the children in their care.

Not only will I be tackling  26.2 miles of prime Brighton turf on behalf of Chailey but I'll also be running in memory of my cousin Dan, who was one of the many lives Chailey helped to change. Whether it was dancing Dan round the room to the Fun Song Factory, sunny days spent inside at Bowlplex because it was his favourite thing to do or hours of the hokey cokey on repeat, not a minute of the day spent with Dan was boring and I'm hoping it's his infectious laugh that will get me through this challenge. When we went off to secondary school Dan was given the opportunity to continue his education at Chailey, a place he absolutely adored, where he could swim, paint and talk about the car wash to his hearts content.

Chailey give disabled children and young adults the opportunity to pursue and explore talents which they may not have had the opportunity to pursue previously. They maximize independence while upholding the highest standard of care.

Sending massive hugs and kisses to all who donate, thank you!
