Chloe does an Ironman!

IRONMAN UK · 14 July 2019 ·
As some of you already know, on Sunday 14th July 2019, I will be taking part in Ironman UK in Bolton. This will comprise a 2.4 mile swim and a 112 mile (very hilly!) bike ride, followed by a 26.2 mile run. This will be a huge personal challenge for me, but I'm looking forward to getting out there, if only for the amount of food I can eat after a whole day of exercising...!
Along the course of these 140.6 miles, I'm hoping to to raise awareness and money for Jonathan's Voice, a charity which was set up in late 2017 in memory of my friend, colleague and mentor Jonathan McCartney.
Jonathan's Voice are working to reduce the stigma associated with mental health, and particularly to educate employers to create the right support structures and policies to support employees. They haven't been around long, but I have seen the impact the charity has had within the IP profession - so I'm hoping to raise some money to help them continue the good work! For more information on their amazing work, please take a look at their website http://jonathansvoice.org.uk. Any donation you can make for this worthwhile cause will be greatly appreciated.
NOTE: this is a new JustGiving page that was set up in an attempt to be able to add Gift Aid, but unfortunately that's not possible yet. A MASSIVE THANK YOU to those who have already sponsored me on the old page - this total is included in the "offline donations" amount shown below.
On the big day you will be able to track me via the Ironman app, I will be bib number 353. Until then, feel free to follow my training progress on Strava: www.strava.com/athletes/6610499.
