My sister and I are running London Landmarks Half Marathon for NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children). 

NSPCC works to prevent abuse, and to encourage children to speak out. As well as providing therapeutic services to help children and families who are moving on from abuse. 

Childhood is playing, learning and laughing. But for thousands of children, its not. It's secrets they are scared to tell and bruises that they try to hide. Every childhood is different. Abuse should never be part of it. 

Working as a teacher, the safety of our children is at the forefront of my mind each day. 

£4 will fund a call to Childline

£12 to train a volunteer

£22 could pay for a Childline practitioner for one hour

£150 could pay for one helpline practitioner shift, providing vital help and support to adults concerned about a child's welfare.
