Story
I'm taking part in the Rainbow Walk for Tommy's because this charity means more to me than I can put into words.
Last year, we experienced the heartbreak of a missed miscarriage. It was a loss that left an ache in our hearts that words will never fully describe. Although our baby's life was short, they will always be loved, always be remembered, and will forever be part of our family.
Then, we were blessed with our beautiful rainbow baby.
Our journey didn't become easy after that. She arrived prematurely and spent time in NICU, where she bravely fought through lung and heart complications, jaundice, suspected meningitis and sepsis. Watching your tiny baby go through so much is something no parent ever imagines, and it's an experience that will stay with us forever.
Tommy's is the UK's leading pregnancy and baby charity, funding vital research into miscarriage, stillbirth, premature birth and pregnancy complications, while supporting families through the darkest days of their lives. Their work gives hope to families like ours and strives for a future where fewer parents experience the heartbreak of losing a baby or seeing their newborn fight for survival.
I'm walking for the baby we had to say goodbye to, for my brave little rainbow girl, and I'm walking for every family who has loved a baby they couldn't keep, who has stood beside an incubator wishing they could simply hold their child, or who is still waiting for their happy ending.
If you are able to sponsor me, no matter how much, I would be so incredibly grateful. Every donation helps Tommy's continue their lifesaving research and support for families who need it most.
Thank you so much for reading, for your kindness, and for helping me support a cause that will always hold a special place in my heart. ❤️
