Story

Hello,

Thankyou for visiting my page

I have sent you this web link to invite you to help me, to help people in India who are not as fortunate as ourselves.

Along with 24 of my fellow 15-16 year old pupils at Hinchley Wood School and with four of our teachers, I am visiting Delhi, India in the Summer of 2008 - to work for The Hope Foundation with some of their third-world charity projects for the disadvantaged in India.

Our activities will include working for a slum and street children's orphanage; and with a mental health hospital for the dispossessed; as well as bandaging wounds in a leprosy colony. For more information about all the fantastic and invaluable work that the award-winning and highly-respected,  Hope Foundation charity undertake visit www.hopefoundation.org.in

The second week will be spent trekking in the Himalayas as a group.

However, I need help raising the rest of the money required for the charitable element of the trip - hence this appeal.

If you do feel able and want to support this cause please use this web site to donate whatever you feel you would like to spare - however small ( or big ).

Every donation made via this page will initially be paid to the charity-registered Hinchley Wood School Development Fund  - who have kindly agreed to then 'ring-fence' all the money that they receive in my name via this page, for them to offset against the total amount of money that I will be required to pay through the school to undertake this trip as a whole.

It is also worth noting that all such donations made via this web page, if from a UK taxpayer, will automatically qualify for GIFT AID TAX RELIEF. However if you are from outside the UK or not a tax-payer of any kind -  no worries I will still benefit from your donation, just without the tax relief top-up. The www.justgiving.com  organisation have arranged for the automatic addition of this value-add, tax break and top-up to your donation at no further cost to you, so this is a great way for me to maximise and increase the final amount of money that I can raise .

If you do leave a donation i want you to know that it will be greatly apreciated, and will help in bringing me one step closer to this most amazing and incredibly inspiring 'opportunity of a lifetime'  - and for helping me provide a little 'HOPE' to some really under-privledged people. Regardless of whether you do, or don't, make a donation I would like to thank you for the time that you have taken to read this message.

Love Chloe  x
