Story
Network 4 Africa in Rwanda is a charity that helps to rebuild lives and communities destroyed by war and genocide, regardless of race or religion. They work on small projects, started by local people, responding to local needs.
In September 2010 Cholm and Clare will be using their skills in education and health to volunteer for Network 4 Africa in Rwanda.
Cholm will work at the Multi-Learning Centre teaching English to 18-40 year olds directly affected by the genocide in 1994. Clare will work with women's groups, such as 'Aspire', and other community groups educating disadvantaged adults on nutrition, hygiene and other public health issues.
Please visit the Network 4 Africa website http://www.network4africa.org/ to find out more about the valuable community projects underway in Rwanda (as well as Uganda and Chad).
Cholm will also be doing a triathlon at of all places....Cholmondeley Castle on the 26th of June to help raise as much as possible!
Your contributions will go towards covering education and health resources, an interpreter for the women's health groups and some accommodation costs for Cholm and Clare. Any excess funds raised will stay with Network 4 Africa to be channelled into their various Rwanda based projects.
Cholm and Clare will share their stories and photos with you, so you too can see the difference your contributions have made.
