Chorate's No Zoom at the Inn

No Zoom at the Inn · 12 December 2020
Chorate are a Reading-based mixed voice chamber choir, formed in 2009 by a group of experienced singers wanting to sing, have fun and raise funds for good causes, with over £15,000 raised to date. Our repertoire includes sacred and secular music from the 13th century to the present day, by composers from Palestrina and Bach through to The Turtles and The Beatles.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to perform recently in front of audiences due to Covid-19 restrictions. However, we are delighted to announce that we will be holding a concert this Christmas season in collaboration with WSL Virtual Voices. It will be streamed live on YouTube - the details are as follows:
No Zoom at the Inn
Saturday 12th December @ 8pm

We are not selling tickets for the concert but will be raising money for Shelter. Shelter is a charity which helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through advice, support, and legal services. Like many charities, opportunities for fundraising have been challenging this year so any donations would be appreciated.
WSL Virtual Voices
is Waltham St Lawrence's musical response to the pandemic, consisting of our church choir plus many singing friends and volunteer supporters from home and abroad. VV records the hymns and anthems for the weekly online church service, and also undertakes occasional extra-curricular recording projects. We are very pleased to be collaborating with Chorate on the music for this concert and our Service of Lessons and Carols online on 20th December. (Simon Shaw - VV Director)
