Love Support Unite is a charity based in Malawi that I have been lucky enough to be involved in since 2019. LSU aims to empower those less privileged than ourselves, providing a leg up in education, enterprise, nutrition, farming, sport, and welfare to help shape a more sustainable future. 

In 2019 I visited their projects myself, and can whole heartedly vouch for how genuine and impactful this charity is. The average leaving school age in Malawi is 11, with 26% of children forced to engage in child labour just to ensure there is food on the table. LSU funds and supports nurseries, schools, adult literacy groups, and has even helped support girls into university. 

The workload this charity takes on to help support all aspects of life in Malawi is truly colossal, and one that is hard to fathom. Here are a few statistics which I am most proud of;

• 4 x primary school blocks built
• 10,649 Malaria tests and life-saving treatments
• 60,000 meals served sustainably each year
• 110 families and 676 dependants given food security through the sustainable farming programme 
• 2 bore holes sunk giving 6,000 people access to water
• 30 acre arable farm provided to Tilinanu girls orphanage 
• 3130 provided with dental assistance in remote areas
• Weekly Rugby training sessions at 20 different primary schools
• So much more!!!
