Story
Chris and PJ will be on the start-line at Alpe D'Huez Triathlon at the end of July.
That's
- a 2 kilometre lake swim
- a 118 kilometre bike ride up the legendary Alpe d'Huez mountain (YouTube it to see what it does to the professionals)
- a 20 kilometre run up and down the mountain's peaks
Chris has never done a triathlon before or swum this kind of distance in open water. This seemed like a good thing to do after a big birthday.
PJ has never cycled up a mountain before, never mind one of this difficulty. He's never had too much sense.
They're both pretty desperate to finish ahead of each other and are training at every opportunity.
It'd give them both a boost on their long training swims, rides and runs, to know that at the same time, they're supporting Back Up whose fantastic work helps people affected by a spinal cord injury to access and enjoy life and the wider world.
If you've got a few quid you could throw their way that'd be great.
Thank you
