Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for thinking about sponsoring me to do the Great North Run. For those who don't know, this is a half-marathon held in Newcastle/Gateshead/South Shields on Sunday 19th September, 2010.
Yes, I did say half-marathon.
Yes, I may be a little crazy.
I'm running in aid of Shelter, who do good things in the name of trying to reduce homelessness, both on a case-by-case basis and on the bigger scale. I'm trying to raise £400, but if you can help me raise more, that would be great!
I'm hoping to finish the race around the 2 hours 20 mark, but just finishing at all would be brilliant. Having said that, if you want to sponsor me extra to run faster and make it inside the 2:20-mark, that might be a good incentive :)
If you do decide to donate (and I hope you will), please remember to tick the Gift Aid options if you're a UK taxpayer, so Shelter can claim back tax on your donation and we can raise even more money for them.
