On April 24, 2004, my dad lost his battle with cancer. He was and still is the bravest, kindest person I have ever known.
Not a day goes by when I don't think about him - I cannot even begin to explain how much he's missed, but the impact he had (and still continues to have) on me knows no limits. I'm not someone who can run a marathon or jump out of a plane, but I need to show my dad that he's not forgotten. Far from it, I hope through mum, James, Michelle and I, and through other family and friends, he'll continue to live on for a very long time.
This is a small gesture of my love for him and for those that helped and cared for him (and others) following his diagnosis. Their care and dedication to others was quite simply inspiring. I'm forever indebted. Thank you, dad. And thank you, Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
