Story
On 24 May I intend to run 100k (62 miles) from London to Brighton. I'm raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support who helped our friend Helga to cope with terminal cancer.
Update: 25 May
Well, I made it!
A bit slower than planned but heavy rain and a massive thunderstorm mile 35 left the course a quagmire in parts. Still into Brighton in daylight as planned.
Feet up for a few days now.
One in three of us will get cancer and it's the toughest thing most of us will ever face. Macmillan Cancer Support provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.
Training will involve 800 miles to the start line - that's like running from London to Edinburgh and back! It will involve early mornings, dark mid-week evenings with head torch and long runs peaking at 30 miles. All leading to 100k from Richmond over the North and South Downs to Brighton.
I'll give the running all I can - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE will you give Macmillan Cancer Support whatever you can.
