I was introduced to the Wellspring last year, when my friend Mark Cadwaladr got roped into running the Manchester 10K for them. I sat next to him at work and listened almost on a daily basis as to how his training was going. When he successfully completed the run, he was over the moon. He had been a life long asthmatic and couldn't believe that he could get round, and also get round without stopping!!

Sadly, within 2 months, Mark died from an asthma attack. Some friends of his ran the Salford 10k in September in his memory, also for the Wellspring, and it is only right to run the Manchester 10k  as well

I have persuaded 2 of my daughters, Sophie and Philippa, to run as well, so Team Castell will be running in aid of the Wellspring.
