Trip to Ghana 2015 · 1 June 2015

Our vision is to be Nottinghamshire’s leading charity for improving community health and wellbeing for those who need us most. We believe that sport, physical activity, education, and wellbeing can transform lives, providing communities with the tools and support they need to thrive.

Story

I have worked as a teacher of Sport and Mathematics for the past 26 years and currently work at the highly acclaimed Bluecoat Academy in Nottingham.

I have been chosen as Lead Teacher to represent The Nottingham Forest Ghana Project in June 2015.

The aim of the project is to teach, help organise the curriculum and administration and provide computer resources for a school for children between the ages of 3 - 16 in Woe in Ghana, on the west coast of Africa to help achieve a higher potential for the local children.

This is a lifetime's dream for me personally.

Although I shall be paying my own flight over there in order to achieve this goal I am asking if you would help to fund my work whilst there by donating any amount, no matter how small, towards providing for the children.

Most of the area suffers from a lack of infrastructure where a third of the population live off less than 60pence per day and do not have access to clean running water.

Please help by making a donation of whatever you can to my page on Just Giving.

Thank you.
