LANDS END TO JOHN O’GROATS 1000 MILES IN 9 DAYS
THAT’S OVER 100 MILES A DAY
Chris Davenport and Tim Bowskill want to raise money in Alan
and Rachel’s memory for the lifesaving charity “Pancreatic Cancer Research”, as
they fund research into finding a cure and better treatment for the disease
Over 40 years ago you only had a 3% chance of survival if
you were diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, today in 2018 you still only have a
3% chance! so little do we know about this illness.
A small contribution today can make a world of change for
this charity forever
Why would you give up your Annual Holiday, weekends and most
of your spare time?
To achieve a once in a life time chance to cycle the entire
length of the country from Lands End to John O’Groats, 1000 Miles in
9 Days with no support team waiting in wings, carrying all
their own supplies, Chris Davenport and Tim Bowskill have certainly got a lot
to do!
The enthusiastic weekend cycling duo have been putting the
hours in training, even cycling to work, which for Chris is a
50 mile daily round trip from Sutton in Ashfield to the
Rolls Royce site at Derby.
Apart from the personal challenge, both the riders want to
raise awareness to one of the country’s most un-heard of disease’s, with the
lowest survival rate, Pancreatic Cancer. Also a personal quest for both as one
of Chris’s family uncle Alan and Tim’s family friend Rachel Lilley lost there
battle to this illness.
So please give what you can.
Thank you.
