Story

As Forrest Gump said; life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get…

We all go through good and bad times in life. So it’s important to help whenever and however we can. But most of us don't have the time or means to do as much as we should.

On 21st April 2024 I am running the London Marathon with the objective of raising £250,000 for three incredible charities, all of which are very close to my heart:

Breast Cancer Now. Over 55,000 people are diagnosed every year in the UK. That’s 150 a day. I have close family friends who have died from it and current friends who are battling it.

Barnardo’s. At times, my childhood was tough. As a father of three, I want to help as many children as possible avoid this hardship.

Stroke Association. In December last year, my mum suffered a very serious stroke completely out of the blue. Sadly, very little of her is left. This charity is suddenly very important to me.

I am aware that a quarter-million pounds is ambitious. It's nearly double the highest amount raised by an individual last year. But I know we can do this.

My family will be matching the first £50,000 of donations made.

Thank you so much.
