Dean Farm Trust Cycle Ride · 8 April 2016

Dean Farm Trust provides a home for life to ill-treated, neglected and unwanted animals. These include donkeys, pigs, hens sheep and ponies. We promote compassionate living by providing information on animals used in factory farming, sports and entertainment.

Story

As National Business Manager for Dean Healthcare, I am proud that the company has supported this great charity, Dean Farm Trust, since 2005.

Now I want to do my bit and need your help to raise money for the animals at Dean Farm Trust's sanctuary. On 8th April, I will be cycling from Dean Healthcare's central Bristol office across the Severn Bridge, finishing at the sanctuary itself near Chepstow. Please sponsor me or get in touch if you would like to take part and cycle with me.

Dean Farm Trust
The charity provides a home for life in its sanctuary for animals who have been saved from exploitation whether as part of the factory farming system or for entertainment or commodities.

Animals like Sammy, a miniature Shetland, who was rescued from a horse market where he would have been sold for meat; Rosie, a pony who was dehydrated, starving and ill, left to fend for herself and Clive who would have gone to slaughter as she(!) was surplus to a local breeding programme. They now live a carefree and contented life in a beautiful secluded valley near Chepstow with some pigs, donkeys, hens as well as other sheep and ponies and Betty who was rescued from a puppy farm.

Dean Farm Trust also provides information on compassionate living, helping people make cruelty free choices in their everyday life by empowering them with information.
