Bath Half Marathon 2018 · 4 March 2018 ·

Since 1885, thanks to the public's support, we continue to provide welfare and wellbeing assistance tailored to our Armed Forces community. We know and understand the unique demands of service life, whether in the UK or overseas, and in times of need, we help to enable the Forces family to thrive.

Story

I joined the army just over two years ago and after seeing the incredible work SSAFA do for the Armed Forces, I’ve decided to raise money to support this vital charity by running the Bath Half Marathon.

Can you please donate and help SSAFA continue their crucial work for the armed forces?

SSAFA is the UK’s oldest, national, tri-service charity, and provides lifelong support to members of the armed forces and their family members.

Every year, SSAFA helps around 60,000 people in need, from World WarTwo veterans to those involved in more recent conflicts and their families. Through their knowledge and empathy for the armed forces, SSAFA provides dignity and independence by helping with housing, homelessness, financial worries, PTSD counselling and supporting the transition to civilian life.

I love running and SSAFA is a cause that is very dear to me as a serving member of the armed forces, so the fact that SSAFA have given me a place in the Bath Half is incredibly generous. I hope to repay their generosity – but I can only do this with your support.

Any donation you can give will be greatly received and will go towards supporting the vital work SSAFA does to help thousands of people.

Even if you can only spare just a few quid, you’ll be a hero to our armed forces, veterans and their families that desperately need help, care and support.

Thank you so much in advance.
