Story

In December 2012 while listening to Heart FM, I heard  the story of a little lad called Felix told by his dad, Matt White.

Sadly, Little Felix lost his life to Neuroblastoma, a rare and very aggressive form of childhood cancer. You can listen to that same broadcast and learn a little bit more about Felix here.

I had never heard about The Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Alliance (NCCA) before and what I heard on the radio was completely heart wrenching. I don’t mind telling you that I was in floods of tears.

I decided on that day that I wanted to do something to help, that something was Born Ready Runners.

2013 really was an amazing year! We started with a Target to raise just £1000 for NCCA and finished the year with nearly 4 times that at £3713.

In 2014, I will take on the biggest challenge of my life - Brighton Marathon. Alongside 10 awesome team mates, we will try to push ourselves to the limits to complete the gruelling task of running 26 miles, our efforts are to raise more money to help  this amazing charity who work tirelessly every year to support the families whose brave children are suffering the aggressive cancer Neurobalastoma.
