Having been a teacher for ten years, I have decided to raise money for a charity which focusses on improving the prospects of disadvantaged pupils. Therefore, I am raising money on behalf of the 1851 Trust. This charity helps pupils from diverse backgrounds to access STEM-based careers (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). They also help pupils to re-engage with learning through sport and they also educate pupils about the environment and empower them to campaign for change.

The charity has made a huge impact on the lives of children, with 50% of secondary schools now using their STEM resources in the classroom.
