Last year we ran Hadrian's Wall to raise funds for our HQ Extension. This year, on Saturday and Sunday 11th and 12th June five scout leaders from 4th Morpeth scout troop (Ellen, Ali, Rod, Dom and Sean) are taking on the full challenge of St Cuthbert's Way. Claire (a Beaver leader) is joining us for part of our journey to complete the parts she hasn't walked before.
Basically this is 62 miles/100k of walking from Melrose (North of the border) to Lindesfarne (an Island off the Northumberland Coast). Most people cover the distance in four to six days but as we all have to be at work during the week we are going for it in two! Pressure is on on the Sunday as we have a tight timeframe for the tides to ensure safe crossing on foot across the Pilgrim's Route to our final destination.
