FOGADD supports young people from Grahamstown in S Africa to build a better world for themselves. It provides scholarships, supports a mobile science lab, literacy programme, pre-schools and out of school care so children can eat and have fun, not wander the streets and return home hungry.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

FOGADD is a charity I have long supported, originating from cricketing links with township schools in the Eastern Cape.

Fogadd believes education is crucial to improving quality of life in developing countries. The charity supports projects that focus on helping children from townships achieve their potential when their economic circumstances make that difficult.  Fogadd supports them with school fees for a good school, with somewhere to do their homework, with a meal before school, with uniform so they can feel like everyone else.  There are also social work projects and pre-school support.

Fogadd has no material costs being run entirely by volunteers, so every penny goes directly to the projects it supports.  Those projects are carefully monitored by a watch committee in Grahamstown, all of whom are known well by the trustees and some of whom work at Rhodes University.
