Lincoln Community Larder aims to relieve poverty in Lincoln and the surrounding area through the provision of nutritious food and other basic amenities to people suffering from disadvantage and social deprivation.

Story

I’ve only gone and entered the P24 Challenge -The Longest Day organised by Phoenix Running 🥵

It’s a virtual event starting at 08.00 am BST (UK London time) on Saturday when I aim to walk 1 mile, on the hour, every hour for 24 hours with my last mile commencing at 07.00 am on Sunday morning. I’ll be doing it from our home on an out and back 1-mile route...

I’m also hoping to raise a few quid for people who are less fortunate than many of us for the Lincoln Community Larder. The Lincoln Community Larder charity which aims to relieve poverty in the Lincoln area through the provision of basic nutritious foods and other basic amenities to those in need of short term help. They are run entirely by local volunteers and also support those suffering from illness or special needs. If you can spare a few pennies myself and the charity would be grateful!

Oh and I’m not even the eldest taking part in it even though I’m 65! I’m the 8th oldest 😂
