Almost two years ago, my wife and I visited Brysons on a Sunday afternoon to take a dog for a walk.  Two years later I am taking on the most physical task I have ever attempted, to raise some money for this fantastic charity.

Bryson's goal is to provide temporary care and shelter for stray, abandoned and relinquished animals and to place as many as possible into responsible and caring homes.

Having three rescue cats at the time and now a fourth (thanks to Bryson's), it was only natural we would love spending time here.

We have spent weekend after weekend walking dogs and playing with their cats, but I wanted to do something that would make a difference.  The Great North Run seemed the perfect opportunity, particularly as Bryson's are currently looking to raise £50000 to build a new cattery.
