The Christie - Manchester 100 Bike Ride · 5 September 2010 ·

The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

*** GREAT NEWS***

Whitbread (parent company of Costa, who I work for) are going to match every pound I raise in sponsorship; so double thanks to everyone who has donated so far.

On Sunday 5th September I will be taking part in the Manchester 100 mile bike ride.

Starting and finishing at Wythenshawe Park, Manchester, the route heads first to Northwich, taking in Delamere Forest and Nantwich before heading back through Middlewich to the Finish.

I will be riding for Christie's in memory of my Dad, Derek.

The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 40,000 patients a year. The Christie is also an international leader in research, with world first breakthroughs for over 100 years.  Cancer research in Manchester, most of which is undertaken on The Christie site, has been officially ranked the best in the UK.
