As many of you may know a few years ago I had a small accident involving my eye and a rather large chainsaw whilst cutting a tree down. As luck would have it, and with a few surgeries, a couple of months of lying on my stomach, and a lot of support from my family and close friends, I was back on my feet again within the year. After a road to recovery and with my sight now restricted to one eye I was given a new perspective on life.

The support of charities like Henshaws for people that are visually impaired is really invaluable, and I am proud to be walking for a charity that I can not only relate to through personal experience, but that I can thoroughly appreciate the valuable work this charity does.
