Tindrum 12 hour foot race · 18 January 2020

Our Community Club has a clear pathway for boys & girls from 5 years through to adulthood. We also have an Over 35s team, Walking Football team & an Action on Dementia team. The club is working to create new facilities to grow the game & to increase participation in sport in the Panmure area

Story

On Saturday the 18th of January I will attempt to run (walk and cry) from 12 noon until till 12 midnight. This is roughly 100% longer than I have ever run before with a bit of luck north of 50 miles! I'm doing this to support the fundraising efforts this year for the Carnoustie Panmure football trip.

The Tyndrum race comes in a 6, 12 and 24-hour flavour, I have opted for the 12-hour version. The route is a 5-mile loop comprised of ruff Forrest tracks which may be hidden by snow. I am hoping to run 50 miles or 81km if you prefer things metric. Having done a couple of 50ks now on easy and less easy terrain the prospect of finding an additional 20 miles in the dark is a little intimidating! Any pennies you can spare to support an excellent sporting trip for young people in Carnoustie will help spur me on through the darkness (literal and metaphorical) past my cosy sleeping bag time and time again.

thanks reading and thanks for your support!

This is by far the best thing that will give you an insight into running far:
