Story
Hi! Thanks for visiting my just giving page. You may already know why I’m doing the Edinburgh Marathon and you may also know why I have chosen to run for MacMillan Cancer Support. If you don’t please read on! (This is your chance to scroll down to the important bit and give me some cash!!)
You may or may not know but sadly I lost my mum Ros to cancer some time ago. Throughout her illness our family had some amazing support from MacMillan Cancer Support. Without this support I personally think my family would have not have been able cope half as well as we did, mum would not have been as comfortable as she was and we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy having her at home with us. In January 2010 it was be eleven years since my mum passed away. For some time I have been thinking of a way to give something back to MacMillan to show my thanks but also to pay tribute to my mum and her determination and bravery. Foolishly I thought the best way to do this was to run the marathon! Now you see why I started with the emotional blackmail! I want to raise as much money as possible for MacMillan in the hope that other families will benefit from the same support our family received. I would love it if you could donate to such a good cause hanks for your patience and (in anticipation) your donation! Chris
P.S. Just a shameless plug for a couple of very good friends!
I have had some great support throughout my training from some experts who have really helped me out. If you need a hand, and no one else can help maybe you should call one of these guys!!
