I try to take part in as many adrenaline experiences as possible (we only live once!), so this seemed the logical next step (as I'm rapidly running out of 'bucket list' experiences). Anyone who knows me will attest that I am grossly unfit and out of shape, so this process is an extreme challenge for me. The chance to push myself to my limits (and beyond!) whilst raising money for local charitable causes spurs me on. I'll be 42 years old by the time the event comes round, so I guess it's a 'now or never' situation. I've no illusions about my abilities, but am going to go full tilt and just give it my best shot.
