Chris & Nick's Three Peaks in 24 Hours Challenge · 14 May 2022

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

The three of us have all had family members significantly affected by Dementia and are up for a challenge this year to raise some money to help others who are affected by it. We will be attempting to complete the Three Peaks Challenge within 24 hours in May.

This will begin (weather dependent) on the 14th May starting at Ben Nevis, Scotland, via Scafell Pike, England and ending at Snowdonia, Wales on the 15th May.

The total walking distance will be 23 miles (37km) with a total ascent of 3064 metres (10,052ft). Roughly 12 hours of walking and 12 hours of driving, covering 480 miles with some driving assistance from Ian Mackey.

Our training is well underway and we are hoping to smash our target of £500.
