Story
As many of you know normally at this time of year i'd be walking 100kms in 24hrs somewhere across the South Downs raising money for charity. Two years ago KHH supported not only my mum in her last few days but also the rest of our family and we will always be eternally grateful. Every year KHH needs too raise £3.6M from the community to keep its doors open, and ensure that hundreds of local families just like ours are not alone in the darkest and most difficult of times - even more so now.
KHH are organising the "Defeat The Peaks" Challenge from 1st to 21st June and so therefore this year as I cant "ramble" across the South Downs thanks to COVID 19 shutting most things down I can do things locally (walks, stairs, driveway etc) and so will be trying my best to support KHH by "Defeating the Peaks"!
According to KHH the following Peaks require the number of Steps stated
Everest - 156,000 Steps, Three Peaks Snowdon, Scafell Pike & Ben Nevis 70,000 steps, Mont Blanc 30,000 Steps, Ben Nevis 22,000 Steps,
I'm going to see if i can crack as many of those as i can between 1st and 21st June.
I know that times are hard & money is short but if you can spare a couple of £ to support this wonderful hospice then please do so - every penny helps.
From 1st June I will be posting links from Strava on a daily basis and if nothing else it'll start getting me fitter again!
Thank you for your support.
