I am running this half marathon in memory of a good friend of mine, Nathan Scarlett.  He passed away in July 2013 after a 6 year battle with Bowel Cancer.  A nicer bloke you would not meet.  Our friends in Australia are running the Melbourne Marathon on the same day raising funds for Bowel Cancer Australia and we wanted to do something similar here in the UK.  

We may be thousands of miles away but we are always thinking of you Jac.  May he rest in peace.
