Up until 4 years ago I spent a lot of time as an inpatient on Ward 26 at Heartlands Hospital. I was always very well looked after and they now continue to be involved in providing me with outstanding care. Although I've been fortunate enough to not be an inpatient in the last few years, I always remember my stays there. And I remember all the things that had been donated or bought with donations - such as laptops, gym  equipment and patient snacks - little things which made the days go by easier when I wasn't feeling well. The centre is also engaged on a project to refurbish 16 of their inpatient rooms, which will cost £15000 per room. 

I am now in a position where I can give something back to other patients and the dedicated staff of the ward.

Although not a marathon (this time anyway), I know I can now achieve something I never thought possible at one time by running a 5K Fun Run. I'd really appreciate any money you could donate for the CF Ward at Heartlands hospital.
