Story

Maybe it is crazy what I am about to do, or perhaps it is genius. I will let you know if I make it to the finish line!

I have always aspired to run a marathon but I have never been motivated or fit enough to attempt it.

Things change in life as you get older and losing our Grandad was a tough time. However he lived an incredible life and told many stories, all be it some repeated once or twice!

Therefore felt that I had to do something to celebrate him. So why not run a marathon? Great idea in theory, but not always in practice.

Training has been tough and long with various issues along the way. A 19st retired rugby player wasn’t designed for running long distances! Not to mention the dancing feet are now ruined.

However I am running for an amazing charity and an amazing grandad. This charity is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. They go above and beyond to support those affected and are always looking to find a cure as well. I hope you can donate, it would mean so much for me and my family for this amazing cause.

Thanks

Chris
